# Projects All computing and storage resources are mapped to a organizational unit called a “Project” . A Project is owned by a single person called an "Owner". This owner can designate additional authorized “Approvers” . Every project has 1 or more “members” whom have access to the data, compute, and other resources allocated to the project. Some projects will incur a cost due to the amount of storage used. In these instances each project is assigned to a Dept and a optional Proj/Grant Number for billing purposes. - Each owner can have one or more Projects. - All costs are aggregated at the Project level. A projects total cost can be split up to 10 ways. - Tufts Faculty can specify which projects and how much of to apply their no cost quota to. Projects are typically owned by a Principle Investigator. However their are special situations where others are designedated, such as courses where it is the professor of record. Research Technology may also designate staff or students as owners where they deem apprioriate.
